The Walt Disney Co. has been trying to get a fairy-tale photography studio up and running for about a year, but it seems that they are finally making progress.
The studio, which will feature photography that is at least partly based on the fairy tale and science fiction narratives, will begin taking applications this summer.
Disney said it will have two dozen employees, mostly designers and photographers, and will be hiring in January.
Its the first of several projects that the company has planned to build its image portfolio.
Walt Disney Animation Studios, which has been the Walt Disney Animation Studio for nearly a century, has been attempting to build out its image library in an effort to compete with major animation studios like Disney, DreamWorks Animation, Pixar, Marvel Studios and Warner Bros. It is also trying to capture the imaginations of kids as well as adults.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is planning to use fairy tale art, animation, and sound effects as part of its portfolio.
Disney also plans to use some of its digital assets, including its existing Pixar Studios digital studio, and its own production technology to build up its portfolio of photos and video content.
The company’s new studio will feature some of the most famous characters from the Disney animated films and feature artists such as John C. Reilly and Emily Blunt, among others.
Fantasy, sci-fi and fantasy worlds will be photographed and edited, as well.
The studio is also developing a fantasy-themed digital portfolio.
The studio will work alongside a team of artists, including an artist who will also be on the board of Disney’s Animation and Storyboarding division, and a creative consultant to help design the studio’s website and social media presence.
The first photo-based project to be launched by the studio was the release of the Pixar animated film Coco.
In its announcement of the studio, Disney said the studio has been working to create new stories and visuals for more than 100 years, and is taking a creative approach to storytelling in order to create a rich and lasting collection of content.
There are more than 2,000 animated films that Disney has made, including the likes of Frozen, Cars, The Lion King, Finding Nemo and Aladdin.
Disney is also planning to launch a number of new projects in the coming months.
Earlier this month, Disney announced it is creating a digital portfolio of its own content.
The company said the collection would include videos and music that are based on fairy tale characters.
Disney said it plans to release the project in 2018.
In 2018, the company is planning a series of projects based on Disney’s popular characters, such as Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Incredibles, The Jungle Book, Cars 3, Cars 2 and more.
