Why Russia’s fairy tale is ‘a perfect fit’ for Donald Trump

By ALEX GALIKOV/Associated PressThe Trump administration is considering a new Russian fairy tale as the centerpiece of its foreign policy agenda, according to a senior administration official.

The administration is weighing the idea for a new book about fairy tales, which would be written by a former aide to President Vladimir Putin, and published in the United States, according the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

The official was not clear if the plan was approved.

A Russian author is currently being considered for the book, and the idea was first reported by the Moscow Times.

The Russian version of “The Lion and the Rose,” which was adapted into a movie starring Jennifer Lopez and was adapted by a Russian director, has been adapted into several other films, including “The Mermaid,” “Candyman” and “The Princess Bride.”

A former U.S. intelligence official told NBC News that Russian officials have been watching the United Kingdom’s royal fairy tale series “A Wrinkle in Time” for a while.

The author of the new book, Natalia Frolova, is reportedly a member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

The academy is a government-owned, non-profit organization that is responsible for publishing the works of Russian writers.

Russian officials have already been trying to make their own version of a fairy tale since 2014, when the author of a Russian fantasy novel, “The Brothers Karamazov,” was arrested in the U.K. after publishing his work online.

The book’s title, “On the Mountain,” became a viral hit.
