Apple is preparing to launch a new app for the iPad, dubbed “Fantasy,” that will include elements of a “fairytale tentatively named ‘Aladdin,'” Recode has learned.
In an email to reporters, Apple said it is “working on new and exciting apps” for iPad and iPhone that will “focus on creating more immersive and fun experiences.”
It didn’t elaborate.
In addition to a “Funny,” “Fetching,” and “Frozen” category, Apple will introduce “futuristic themed experiences that are inspired by classic Disney characters and Disney films.”
Apple also revealed that the new app will be available to download to the iPad as soon as Tuesday.
We are still waiting for Apple to confirm that this is the app for iPhone.
The iPad version of the app is expected to launch on Wednesday.
Apple’s new “Fancy” app will include a “character inspired by iconic Disney characters,” including “Finn and Jake,” “Tiana,” “Safari,” and other Disney characters, according to Recode.
Apple has also recently announced its first-ever iPad Pro, which will include “a redesigned interface for apps” and “a number of new features” that are “based on our vision for the future of iPad.”
